Yotophoto

Now this is a very cool discovery. I came across a site called yotophoto which is a search engine for free-to-use stock photographs and images. The great part about it is that it searches across many free photo sites, so you’re culling from a large resource pool. It’s way better than using Google’s image search because they’re discriminating in the sites they index.

But my favorite part is search by color which is accessible on the advanced search page. You can plug in a color value and it’ll search for photos that match it! This is great for any kind of design work (Maria!) as a test of searching for colors that match my blog quickly showed. Below are a few photos that match my color scheme rather nicely.

Hey Jim, thanks for coming by and for the compliment. My wife and I designed the look together.

Cam: yeah, I know. What a brilliant tool! I have nothing practical to use it for at the moment, but still!
