One of my favorite fantasy authors, Robert Jordan, has passed away after a battle with the rare blood disease amyloidosis. His real name was James Oliver Rigney, Jr., and his dates are now October 17, 1948 - September 16, 2007.
Jordan’s books were a real postmodern hodge-podge of various metaphysical and spiritual streams all rolled into one, so it was with great interest that I watched his Christian faith become more and more apparent and central to him as the end drew near.
