Have you ever noticed the tendency to color other people’s perspectives — especially those you think are wrong — with labels like “bias” and “prejudice?” Have you noticed that your vocabulary shifts when speaking of your own views; that you know call your perspective things like “outlook,” “viewpoint,” or, well, “perspective?” Ahh, language games.
I haven’t felt any compulsion to write lately, so I haven’t.
